Tempo al Vino is an offshoot of Schola Sarmenti in Salento, Puglia, whose wines are crafted by young winemaker Sylvia Formigli. Their young vineyards are just a short distance from the sea, farmed organically and maintained under the old Apullian training system called Albarello, which has been used since ancient times. The native varieties of the region such as Negroamaro and Primitivo are promoted and made to a very high standard under organic farming principles.

n the heart of the Classic Valpolicella area, more precisely in the municipal district of Marano, the Vaona family has always made Valpolicella wines while preserving the traditional values that are the winery's hallmarks.  The recently renovated wine cellar is part of a complex built around the mid-17th century. For generations, the whole family has been making RECIOTO and AMARONE della Valpolicella wines with passion and sacrifice every day.  The Vaona family owns about 10 hectares of land, characterised by excellent sun exposure, mainly in the hills and at an average altitude of about 200 metres above sea level. The fertile soils are ideal for producing the most famous and loved wines, AMARONE and RECIOTO della Valpolicella. The plant training systems used are: the traditional Veronese pergola system, and the Guyot system on the plains. The latter system encourages a low yield of finer quality grapes.

The winery Picollo Ernesto is located in the district, at an altitude of 260m of Rovereto, Gavi. Gavi was originally drunk at a restaurant along the coast of Liguria, but by being promoted to DOC in 1974 and DOCG in 1998, it became highly regarded among Italian wines. The field has been passed down to the third generation and is modernized with a stainless steel tank with temperature control and a bottling machine, but it also has a traditional method that incorporates the belief of the founder. The vines are 25 to 30 years old, facing south. In addition, no herbicides are used to grow grapes. The geology is clay and marl. The label's church is a church that he drew as a child in front they “cantina” and house, where they live.

Tenuta Il Poggione was founded in the late 1800s. Lavinia Franceschi, landowner of Florence, following the stories of a shepherd who brought cattle in transhumance around Montalcino, decided to visit the area and fell in love with the landscapes and people who lived there, he decided to buy land and make it a farm. The company was among the first to market Brunello di Montalcino since the early 1900s and one of the founding members of the Brunello di Montalcino Consortium. After more than a century, Lavinio Franceschi's work is still a point of reference for his heirs, Leopoldo and Livia who continue to strengthen the company with the same commitment and unaltered passion, combining the ancient and wise wine tradition, with the more innovative techniques. The Il Poggione estate covers approximately 530 hectares, of which 140 are vineyards, 50 are olive groves and the rest is arable land, woods and livestock.

The Curtos boast a very ancient  Franch origin, dating back to 1030, when their ancestor, Pietro, was granted by Emperor Corrado the “Salico” the County of Omazzo and some of the nearby lands.Towards the end of the 16th century the family moved to Spaccaforno where ancient documents prove their status of landowners. The Curtos are viticulturists since 1670 and they still own 200 hectares of which 30 hectares are planted with vineyards. The soil of the estate has a very calcareous nature and it is all part of the Eloro D.O.C. area, near Pachino, not far from Avola, the original town of the “Nero d’Avola” grape variety. This is the most luminous and the hottest area of Italy which also enjoys the benefit of the Mediterranean sea breeze. The excellent quality of the grapes obtained thanks to the above described climatic conditions turn eventually into very elegant and high class wines.

The Sparapani winery is situated in Cupramontana in the heart of the Marche region. The history of our winery, starts in 1933, when my grandparents buy this building and one hectar of Vineyard. My grandmother sells food at the bazar and my grandfather takes care of the Vineyard and its products. In 1980 my father, Sparapani Settimio, buys out their business, he really loves everything concerning with the vineyard and the production of Verdicchio wine and he wants his family to be part of this project. There is a deep connection between his job, his family and his homeland, that’s why he creates a winery called “ SPARAPANI FRATI BIANCHI “, remembering the near hermitage. The family decides to aim to high-quality wines and, in 1996, after have acquired know-how and technique, creates its masterpiece “ IL PRIORE “ Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Doc Classico Superiore. With the arrival of Cloe and Gioele, the third generation of Sparapani’s family, we decide to start with the production of new and special wines considering new techniques: “ Donna Cloe” Castelli di Jesi Riserva Docg”and “ ‘Sso Gioele” where we only use Montepulciano grapes. Both are aged in oak barrels. The new Sparapani wine cellar, inaugurates in 2015, is characterised by a strong architecture which elegantly recalls the traditional local way of building and where confort is given by an ample use of natural materials, such as bricks, stone and wood. Thanks to a careful functional study the plant ensures an increate efficiency in the cellar work, thereby also benefiting the quality of our wines. Nowadays, we own 18 hectare of Verdicchio vineyards in eco friendly ( low environmentally impact) and, at the same time, we own a tipical restaurant “ Da Fiorina “ where you can taste traditional food.

The property occupies two sites, one of approximately ten hectares in the hills of Rossazo in the heart of the Colli Orientali del Friuli, an area which favors  the production of high quality wines.  The second site found in Moimacco (3 km from Cividale) is of around twenty hectares and is also where the family villa and cellars are located. Being a relatively small company allows for a greater care of the vines and a more careful choice of the land.  Each step of the wine production process is carried out meticulously, from the harvest of the grapes to the bottling of the wine. ‘Ponca’ is a friulano expression which describes the land characteristic of the Rossazo area, made up of Marne and sandstone of Eocene origin. Some of the best wines of the Colli Orientali del Friuli come from this area, aided by a mild micro-climate which produces wide, elegant wines. The fusion of grapes from the Rossazo hills with those of the plains, which give perfume and elegance, result in a unique, full-bodied yet balanced wine. The estate has been in the de Puppi family for generations.  Of Tuscan origins, the de Puppi’s descend from the renowned Guidi family, lords of Poppi in Casentino.  Dante Alighieri, in a passage of the Divine Comedy, cites the Guidi’s, a testament to the power and prestige of this ancient clan. The war between the Guelfi’s and the Ghibellini’s created conflict and division within the Guidi family.  As a result, a branch of the family left Florence and settled in Friuli in 1200. Thus creating a new story, that of the de Puppi’s. Once established in Friuli, from the middle of the fourteenth century until the fall of the aristocratic regime, the family took part in the council of the nobility of Cividale. Land owners and leaders of mercenary troops, the family gave Friuli a series of prominent figures who distinguished themselves in politics, justice and within the ecclesiastical hierarchy. In 1703 Leopald of Austria, in recognition of the family’s important contribution, honoured them with the tittle conti del Sacro Romano Impero (Counts of the Holy Roman Empire). Our family has always played an active role in the running of the vineyard.  Combining (with the help of new generations) innovation with a firm belief in tradition and respect for the land. Our roots help to shape our approach to cultivation and production, whilst never getting in the way of an innovative outlook which sets us apart.

The Franca Buzzegoli Winery was founded in 1998 in Cupi - Municipality of Magliano in Tuscany - in the heart of the Morellino di Scansano DOCG, denomination with Sangiovese-based wines. The name is inspired by the original aspect of the hill on which the vineyards are located today, in fact, before the vines were planted, this hill was bristling with blackberry brambles and myrtle bushes, plants rich in red berries. The road chosen by Col di Bacche is that of creating high quality products with environmentally friendly processes, where power and freshness of wines are the predominant feature. The vineyards are located on the hills overlooking the Maremma Natural Park, with an altitude ranging between 150 and 250m s.l.m. and exposed to S / SW; the wines are bottled at the origin. Each phase of processing in the vineyards is performed manually trying to give maximum enhancement to the characteristics of the vines and the terroir of this part of the Maremma.

Piemonte州Cuneo県のS.Stefano BelloにあるここのワイナリーはValdivillaの丘の背に沿って広がり、すり鉢のような地形による急勾配の畑に十分な日光が当たる好条件を備えているが、反対に厳しい労働条件であるともいえる場所である。標高は300～400ｍで粘土質と石灰質の交じり合った土質である。このような場所にPerrone一族は約8haの畑で３代に渡りCascina Gallettoのワイナリーを経営してきた。Moscatoを中心に他の品種も栽培しているが、近年実験的に新しいクローンのぶどうの研究も行っている。ぶどう栽培に関しては先代から続くオーガニックの方法を重視し、ワインの醸造に関しても必然的に伝統的手法を守り抜いている。また量り売りをしていたのも止めて完全に自社でボトリングをしている。

In 1928, Peter Zemmer, the great uncle of the present winemaker of the same name, established the winery. Vineyards and wineries in the best locations around Cortina s.s.d.v. in the lowlands of Alto Adige have been part of the winery since then. Helmut Zemmer, the founder’s nephew, has always been working in the business and after the early death of his uncle in 1969, he took over the winery, which he has turned into one of the leading companies in the region. Now his son Peter continues the legacy in the interest of his family. Peter Zemmer’s precious experience, detailed and innovative knowledge, together with the perfect natural environment, guarantee the quality and the expressive character of the wines, in harmony with the surrounding nature. The area in and around Cortina s.s.d.v. offers the ideal breeding ground for high quality white wines and authentic red wines. Peter Zemmer knows his land, his vines, and climatic conditions like the back of his hand and how to best work the soil. The authentic wines thus combine the closeness to nature and inspiration.

Spadafora is a noble Sicilian family, whose first certified traces date back to 1230. Over the centuries, the Casato had the predominance over five principalities, a duchy, two marquisates, a county and twenty-five baronies. Some of the family members have occupied leading positions in the Kingdom of Sicily and in some European States. The founder of the farm is Don Pietro dei Principi di Spadafora, who inherits the estate from his uncle Michele De Stefani, a talented farmer and breeder of race horses. The estate suffered a lot of damage during the 1968 earthquake but don Pietro undertook both the reconstruction and the redevelopment of the company, reevaluating the native vineyards and bringing to Sicily allochthonous vineyards destined for the birth of quality wines. The current owner is Francesco Spadafora, son of Don Pietro, married to his wife Claudia, flanked by his daughter Enrica. The history of Spadafora bottled wine begins more than thirty years ago, in the summer of 1988, when Don Pietro Dei Principi di Spadafora decided to explore another world; so from the countryside of Mussomeli, family property in the Sicilian hinterland where wheat was cultivated, his son Francesco moved to Virzì to take care of the vineyards, transforming the grapes into wine. Spadafora wines are made only with our grapes, located in the Virzì district, (Municipality of Monreale, map sheet 142), in the area adjacent to the cellar, so much so that it is defined as the garden that surrounds our houses.

After generations in the wine sector, the Pellegrini family founded Aia Vecchia in 1996 with the mission to create a portfolio of small lot, high-quality Super Tuscan blends. With the help of the famous Hungarian winemaker Tibor Gal, the Pellegrini family purchased exceptional property in the Bolgheri DOC. The fusion of the microclimate, terrain and elevation creates an ideal location for growing premium grapes. Aia Vecchia recruited well-known agronomist Daniel Schuster to assist with choosing varieties, clones, and different rootstocks, which come directly from Bordeaux in order to ensure the quality. The first vintage of Aia Vecchia’s flagship wine, “Lagone,” was in 1998. It is a structured and elegant wine that is remains one of the greatest values to come out of the Bolgheri region and has captured the attention of critics from publications such as Wine Spectator, Wine Enthusiast and more. At Aia Vecchia, we succeed in obtaining the best results through hard work and our will to express the natural characteristics of the Bolgheri region. Our production is limited in order to ensure the best quality goes into each bottle.  Attention to detail is seen in everything we do, from the farming, to the hand picking of the grapes, up to the individual vinification, fermentation and aging. All of this, coupled with our respect for the land, help us to create high quality wines that we are proud to present.

The story is that of a land on the edge of events, whose story is the continuous struggle between man and nature, the history of ancient civilizations, natural catastrophes and migrations; the story of a harsh and often fierce land; it is the history of Irpinia that we feel proud of as ambassadors. Philosophy is identified in a strong and basic value, the loyalty towards one's own territory and the land that is handed down through the generations to protect a cultural identity. The Azienda Agricola Torricino is harmoniously inserted in the panorama of the Tufo hills and finds the choice of the name from the ancient medieval tower that overlooked the company site, there to protect the Tufo castle; on a hill facing south at the right of the river Sabato. The Di Marzo family arrived in Tufo at the end of the seventeenth century and immediately became the architect of a strong and visceral interaction with the town. Today that of the Di Marzo family is a story of strong men and women linked by the love for the land, and the passion for the cultivation of the vine takes continuity in the path-project of Stefano Di Marzo of the Torricino Agricultural Company.

The history of Fattoria le Terrazze begins in 1882 on the foothills of Monte Conero in Numana at the time when the present winery was built. Ever since the end of the nineteenth century the Terni family has been producing Montepulciano grapes which find their natural habitat in the area. Under the attentive guidance of winemakers, Federico Curtaz, today Antonio and Georgina Terni produce around 90.000 bottles of wine per year from hand-picked grapes grown on the farm’s vineyards which extend to around 16 hectares.
